Statement of Faith

There is only one true God, Creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (1)

The Bible is God’s divinely inspired message to humanity. It has the final say on every part of life and faith. (2)

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin and is both fully God and fully human. (3)

Jesus Christ died as the sacrificial substitute to pay the penalty for sin. (4)

Jesus Christ physically rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and will one day physically return. (5)

Every person needs salvation because of his or her own sin. The good news is that this salvation has already been provided: it is found by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ (Trusting in and accepting His finished work on the Cross); it is an unearned gift that is received through faith and has nothing to do with our human effort. (6)

There will be a future physical resurrection of the dead. Those who turn from sin and to Jesus in faith and repentance will be raised to eternal reward. Those who do not turn from sin and to Jesus will be raised to eternal punishment. (7)

Jesus has given the church ordinances of water baptism and the Lord’s Supper (Communion) for the believer’s identification with His life, death, and resurrection until He returns at the Second Coming.  (8)

At conversion, each believer receives the Holy Spirit. With His indwelling presence comes the power to overcome sin. As a result, by His power and presence we seek to live lives free from sin. (9)

Just as God has been generous to us in gifting us salvation, we should be generous with our giving. We do not give as an obligation or as a means to obtain more, but as a result of an understanding that all we have ultimately belongs to God. (10)
